Good afternoon.
I have been attending a baptist church for some time, trying to understand more about Christianity and develop my understanding of myself. The church I have been attending is about an hours drive away and it’s less about the church as it is about an opinion of non ordained bible readers.
I am currently trying to learn more about the path of Christianity and have some friends who are both Catholics and orthodox. From my understanding those two churches are the only two that were founded by christ himself and not by men.
After lengthy chats with my friends I have decided to attend some catholic masses on a Sunday and would like to know more about orthodoxy since I am very unfamiliar with the practices and procedures. Are there any resources I could read or watch to gain a better understanding of orthodoxy? Do i need to have a russian ancestry to attend? Or do you have times I could come in and ask about it?
Thanks for your time.
